All caps tweet storm from his hospital bed as Donald Trump tries to prove he is well – and claims record VA approval after touting visit with wounded soldiers despite COVID diagnosis

Donald Trump went on a Twitter rampage Monday with a string of posts in all capital letters urging Americans to vote – including a tweet touting his approval among ex-military members as he said he met with wounded soldiers during his stay at Walter Reed Medical Center.

'BEST V.A. EVER. 91% APPROVAL RATING. VOTE!' Trump wrote alongside nearly 20 other tweets in the span of about an hour.

This particular tweet about his approval with veterans comes the morning after the president said in a video posted to his Twitter that he was able to meet some wounded military members while getting treated for COVID-19.

'I've also gotten to meet some of the soldiers and the first responders and – what a group,' Trump said in a video from the presidential suite at Walter Reed posted just ahead of his 'joy ride' to wave at fans gathered outside the hospital.

Trump was transferred to the military hospital – also used for sitting presidents – on Friday after overnight Thursday he received a positive test for coronavirus.

Those who are elderly, sick or have other comorbidities are at a much higher risk of falling fatal if they contract COVID-19.

'It's been a very interesting journey. I learned a lot about COVID,' Trump said in the video. 'I learned it by really going to school. This is the real school. This isn't the 'let's read the book' school. And I get it, and I understand it. And it's a very interesting thing and I'm going to be letting you know about it.'

Upon waking up Monday morning, Trump immediately sent a string of tweets to prove his returning health and strength by typing in all caps.

'IF YOU WANT A MASSIVE TAX INCREASE, THE BIGGEST IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY (AND ONE THAT WILL SHUT OUR ECONOMY AND JOBS DOWN), VOTE DEMOCRAT!!!' the president railed.

He then posted a series of shorter tweets including a voting issue and then the urge for his supporters to 'VOTE!'

'LAW & ORDER. VOTE!' he wrote in one tweet.

Another read: 'PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH (BRING OUR SOLDIERS HOME). VOTE!'

Issues Trump felt voters are worried about, which he promoted in separate tweets, included 'saving' the Second Amendment, 'fighting the corrupt fake news media,' a 'better and cheaper' alternative to Obamacare, the pro-life movement and the Space Force – among others.

While on the day-to-day operations Walter Reed serves as a hospital and medical center for wounded and sick active duty and retired military members, presidents and vice president are also routinely treated at a secured and autonomous ward within the complex.

The presidential office suite, which conversely to the rest of the hospital is controlled by the White House and not the Department of Defense, includes a sitting room, kitchen, conference room, hospital bedroom, and an office for the White House chief of staff

Trump's Twitter rant comes as questions continue to mount over his health as doctors and White House officials have presented conflicting information about the status of the president since his positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

The president took a test Thursday night after his counselor Hope Hicks tested positive – the two were in close proximity and she accompanied him on his trip to Minnesota for a rally last Wednesday.

This appears to be one of the 'spreader' incidents as some on that trip, including the president's 'body man' Nicholas Luna, also tested positive.

The main instance that appears to have sparked the White House outbreak was the Rose Garden event last Saturday where President Trump announced his nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to fill the vacant Supreme Court Justice seat.

White House Physician Dr. Sean Conley, a Navy Commander, revealed during a press briefing Sunday that Trump was given the steroid, dexamethasone, the antiviral medication remdesivir and needed supplemental oxygen for about an hour.

While most have portrayed an 'upbeat' attitude about the president's condition, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows was revealed as an anonymous source who said his condition was 'concerning' and said after diagnosis that the next 48 hours are 'critical.'
