Woman suspected of sending ricin into White House arrested near Canada border

The Associated Press, citing three law enforcement officials, also reported that a girl has been detained on the New York-Canada border. She is suspected of sending an envelope with toxin ricin.

Her name wasn't immediately released.
The individual who had been arrested is believed to be the man who delivered the letter, according to the FBI Washington field office.

According to Mayo Clinic, Ricin is toxic and may be generated from the waste that results from processing castor beans. There's not any vaccine or antidote for the poison.

A Navy veteran was detained in 2018 and confessed to sending envelopes to Trump and members of the administration that contained the material from which ricin is derived.
