On his move to the Premier League, Rodrigo said: 'I am really happy and I am very excited to join the club in this important season for all of us after coming back to the Premier League.
'I want to thanks all the fans on social media, the club, the president Andrea and Victor Orta for the effort.
'For me it is an important new step in my career and I want to help the team to achieve the goals of the season.'
He has been an important player for Valencia scoring 34 goals in the last two campaigns
Rodrigo has been an important player for Valencia in recent seasons, scoring 19 goals in the 2017-2018 campaign and 15 in 2018-2019, in which they won the Copa del Rey.
He only managed seven goals last season in an underwhelming campaign on a personal and club level as he missed the last few weeks of the campaign with a knee injury.
His assists record is also impressive with 28 in all competitions over the last three years.
But Valencia's failure to qualify for the Champions League has lead to a firesale in the squad
Valencia's failure to qualify for Europe next season means they are having to sell several of their best players with Ferran Torres leaving to join Manchester City while Dani Parejo and Francis Coquelin have also departed to Villarreal.
The forward has previous experience of English football, having made 17 appearances on loan at Bolton from Portuguese side Benfica in the 2010/11 season.
At international level, Rodrigo helped Spain lift the Under-21s European Championship and has won 22 senior caps since 2014, scoring eight goals.
