The Block judge Shaynna Blaze certainly did not hold back when critiquing Sarah and George's 1940's guest bedroom and study on Sunday night's episode.
While she loved the colour palette of the bedroom, she got 'upset' over the 'curved skirting', and found the study area to be a 'generic boutique apartment renovation'.
Fellow judge Neal Whitaker also weighed in, describing the study as rather 'dull' and 'bland'.
Harsh critique: The Block judge Shaynna Blaze branded Sarah and George's 1940's study 'GENERIC' on Sunday night's episode
Shaynna voiced her disappointment upon discovering that Sarah and George had gone with 'curved skirting' and not kept with the 'sharp lines' in other rooms.
'Everything in the rest of this house is sharp lines. They have decided to create their own version of the 1940's and not look at the beauty in that hallway. I'm actually now getting upset,' she said.
Shaynna's harsh critique didn't stop there, describing their study off the guest bedroom as 'generic'.

Not off to a winning start: Sarah and George (both pictured) placed fourth out of five teams with 21 points, missing out on the $10,000 cash prize and state-of-the-art appliances for their kitchen

However, it wasn't all negative, with fellow judge Darren Palmer in awe of the ceiling rose and cabinetry.
Tough appraisal: Luke and Jasmin (both pictured), who presented their 1910 guest bedroom, also received a less than stellar appraisal from Shaynna. They earned 20-and-a-half points, the lowest score of the night
Baffled by the decade: 'What decade are we in? Neale, you wouldn't know would you?' Shaynna asked, upon entering the room

'What decade are we in? Neale, you wouldn't know would you?' she asked, upon entering the room.
Confused by the choice of furnishings, she continued: 'I think it's a crying shame! They've been given a house that has a specific decade. You don't have to be a slave to it, but pick a different decade because this is confused at what it wants to be.'
They're all impressed! Meanwhile, Harry and Tash's 1920's guest bedroom hit a positive note with all three judges. They earned 24 points and third spot. Pictured: Harry and Tash

For Daniel and Jade, their 1930's guest bedroom was also praised by the judges.
Shaynna commended them for utilising Asian influence in Art Deco, in the form of bamboo wall frames, while Neale was in favour of the vintage feel and 'play of light'.
