Darth Vader's commander has passed away at 66.
Star Wars actor dies - One of the truly great men on the big screen has passed away as "Star Wars" actor Richard LeParmentier is gone. The man best known for being a victim of Darth Vader's "choking force" in "Star Wars" died on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, according to a report from The Daily Mail.

LeParmentier was 66-years-old.

As of Tuesday afternoon, it is said that the circumstances surrounding LeParmentier's death are unclear at this point. There is no word of foul play, natural causes, or anything else so no speculation is being made.

Believe it or not, LeParmentier had appeared in more than 50 films and television shows throughout his lengthy career, but none more well known than when he was Admiral Motti.

As Motti, LeParmentier was the man that mocked Darth Vader's "sorcerer's ways" and his "sad devotion to that ancient Jedi religion." At that point, Admiral Motti was choked by Vader's "force" from across the room.

One of the other popular roles that the actor was known for was playing a police lieutenant in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"
