Star Wars actor dies, as Richard LeParmentier passed away at the age of 66. According to TMZ on April 16, the circumstances surrounding his death remain a mystery.

Fans will remember LeParmentier as the Admiral Motti, a commander aboard the Death Star that made a snide remark to Darth Vader in "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope" and paid for it as Vader used the powers of the force to choke him. While that was his most popular role, LeParmentier also appeared in over 50 movies over his career.

Other fans might remember his role as a British police lieutenant in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," the Robert Zemeckis film from 1988 that saw a human private detective enter the world of animated cartoon characters to solve a murder.

In other geek related trivia, LeParmentier was also married to actress Sarah Douglas from 1981 to 1984. Douglas played Kryptonian super villain Ursa in "Superman II" and LeParmentier had a cameo role in the DC comics movie as well.
