Star Wars actor dies: 35 years after his “Star Wars” commander of the Death Star character Admiral Motti, was famously choked by Darth Vader in the epic movie, Richard LeParmentier has died, according to an April 16 TMZ report.

While he will likely be best remembered as Admiral Motti, LeParmentier made his mark in over 50 movies and television shows. He was a talented actor whose infamous choking scene lives on in “Star Wars” history.

According to the Daily Mail, when he was not playing Admiral Motti and mocking Vader’s “sorcerer’s ways” and loyal, but “sad devotion to that ancient Jedi religion,” LeParmentier appeared in movies including the 1988 hit, “Who Framed Roger Rabbit,” in which he played a British police lieutenant. His recent work credits reportedly include screenwriting for British television.

He was married to British actress Sarah Douglas from 1981 to 1984. LeParmentier died at his home in Austin, Texas and the circumstances of his death are unclear, according to TMZ.
