Star Wars actor dies: LeParmentier dead at 66

Star Wars actor dies - "Star Wars" actor Richard LeParmentier has died at the age of 66. TMZ reported on Tuesday, April 16 that the cause of his death is not known at this time .LeParmentier lived in Bath, Somerset, England, but died at his home in Austin, Texas.

LeParmentier is best remembered as the commander of the Death Star, Admiral Motti, who mocked Darth Vader's "sorcerer's ways" in the hit film "Star Wars."

Richard LeParmentier also played the unforgettable role as the police lieutenant in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit."

LeParmentier's other lifetime film credits includes roles in "Rollerball," "The People That Time Forgot," "Lillie," "Superman II," and "Octopussy."

He made his video game voice debut in 2004 in Soldiers: Heroes of World War II as a narrator. He has also made several appearances at sci-fi conventions.

He'd been married to British actress Sarah Douglas from 1981-1984, Douglas is known for her role as Ursa in "Superman 11."
