The grinning actor donned an apron to help one of Taiwan's top dim sum chefs make dumplings.
Tom looked thrilled to be involved in the tricky process, and eagerly rolled up the small pastry parcels under the watchful eyes of Yang Chi-hua, the proprietor of Din Tai Fung.

restaurant is regarded as one of the best in Taipei, and the Hollywood
icon seemed to be honoured that he had been invited to come and see what
goes on behind the scenes.
There are branches of the restaurant all over the world, including two in Los Angeles, so maybe Tom can get a part time job at one of them when he gets home.
The 50-year old popped a white apron over is grey jumper and shirt, just like a real chef.

well as dim sum, the popular restaurant is famed for its chicken soup,
seaweed, bean sprouts, and mung bean noodle xiaochi, which is a kind of
street food snack.
Perhaps Tom was hoping if he did a good enough job that the local government would offer him a special certificate declaring him of Taiwanese origin.
Just days ago this actually happened while he was in Dublin for the Irish premiere of Oblivion.

Later he went to the Guinness factory to sample a freshly brewed pint, and have a go at pulling his own.
